Yokanga Anti-poaching

The Yokanga River has been plagued by poachers for a number of years and it plays a big impact on the fishery’s future. We are happy to report that our anti-poaching team, together with local police, have already confiscated and burnt nets in a crucial time when the river is particularly vulnerable. Criminal prosecution of the transgressors is also underway. Make no mistake, this was not just a once off event and our anti-poaching teams are out there on a daily basis patrolling the river that we all love so much. We will also be employing groundbreaking technological applications in our anti-poaching efforts and we look forward to reporting back on this progress in the near future
